Ben Hanlin Video

As a fan of Ben, we booked to see him at the MAC in Birmingham in 2019. Unfortunately due to illness at the time, I was unable to attend the show "50" though I have seen him perform before.
​
After the show, my wife and daughter were able to meet Ben and get some selfies. The picture to the left is my daughter and below, my wife Nadine.
​
The big surprise was a video that Ben recorded for me after the show and Nadine sent to me. A great get well soon video and quite funny. He had just completed an underwater escapology and still had drenched hair. It really cheered me up while in hospital and of course, I still have the video now.

MagicSeats Welcome Promo 1

When first creating the website in May 2020, this video was an early effort in my attempts to promote the website.
​
It was used mainly on FaceBook to gain interest in the site and the content that I post. It attracted a fair few number of views and helped gain page likes/followers.
​
For most of 2020, the promo video was tucked away on the promo page of the site before making a comeback on the home page.
​
A video that is still used today, though the tag line is no longer accurate as I now promote the site as a UK Magic and Illusions fan site rather than just a focus on live shows. Part of this sites history.

MagicSeats Welcome Promo 2

As of a certain age, I grew up watching Sooty and Sweep.
​
In December of 2020 when I was re-using the promo 1 video on the site, I came across an ad that advertised, Richard, Sooty and Sweep for hire for business and project purposes.
​
I wasn't sure if I would be able to book Richard Cadell for a promo but tried. To my surprise, I gained a video which I love. Of course, sits pride of place on the home page currently and also within the promo pages.
Richard of course is Magic Circle and Sooty of course is a Master Magician, so for them to record a promo will be a video that I will always keep and remember!

Jamie Raven

While attending a Jamie Raven show in October 2018, we had really excellent seats at the Corby Cube. About 7 rows back from the front stage.
​
At the end of the performance, my wife recorded a couple of the routines that Jamie performed. One of the videos was the famous multiplying bottles, a routine in tribute to Tommy Copper.
​
The quality of the video and the sound is excellent.
A great souvenir of the night. And after the show, we were able to queue up and get our selfies with Jamie as well.

Mandy Muden Video

While not a selfie, I wanted to share this story.
​
In 2019, I was due to attend Mandy Muden's solo tour in Corby and hoped to meet and gain a selfie with Mandy.
​
Due to illness at the time, I was unable to attend the show which was to take place in Corby at the Corby Cube on the 23rd of February 2019. What I did not know was that my wife contacted Mandy. I then received a brilliant video from Mandy wishing me well. She went to a lot of effort with the video and performs in her cheeky manner, recorded before one of her shows. A great memento and lasts about a minute. Part of my video collection that I will always watch as makes me smile.

Mandy has since helped this site, providing interviews. I hope to be able to see Mandy perform live in 2021 (finally!).
