Voting is now closed with the post available to review for reference only. Any votes cast will no longer be counted.

Last year Magic Seats posted its first Recognition Awards.

This past year has been an amazing year for live magic with the site reviewing another 20 shows since the last rewards and conducting more interviews.

With the fifth anniversary of the Magic Seats website being achieved next year (16-May-25), I thought that it would be interesting and fun to create some new magic categories to judge along with some of the existing awards. An opportunity to recognise all the excellent performers and shows/interviews of the last year.

The difference this year is that readers can vote in all categories!

The format is three nominees for each category except favourite act which lists all possible nominees. Nominees will be in alphabetical order and features artists/shows that Magic Seats has seen perform live in 2023/24 since the last awards. A best interview category also exists to recognise those artists who took the trouble to chat to this site.

No prizes or awards (currently), just the recognition for the artists. The winners of the categories will be announced in December.

One vote per category. Closing date to vote is by the 24th of November 2024.

Please note that when you click to vote, your response will be submitted and a tick will appear on the right side of the row. Should you make the wrong voting choice by accident, while on the page, if you click your vote again, your tick will be removed allowing you to select again.

Good luck to all the nominees.

Please note that the books award has not featured this year as I have not read enough books. Ken Hawes would have featured though.

Richard Jones Masters of Deception is not only an incredibly talented magician and illustionist but also a fantastic family entertainer . It is noticable that he appreciates everyone during his performance on stage and after each show . He gives up his free time to anyone should they want a photo opportunity, signature, a chat or all 3 . No one ever feels rushed just always made to feel special for supporting . He deserves to win for his lifetime service to us all in more ways than one . A true humble gentleman who can make the impossible , possible with his magic touch .
