A captivating and well-crafted documentary that offers a profound glimpse into the mind of the renowned burlesque performer, Vicky Butterfly.
“Butterfly,” a no-budget indie documentary directed by William Robertson, delves into the life and thoughts of the internationally celebrated burlesque starlet.
Shot over the course of a year using a phone, the film presents a series of intimate vignettes that reveal Vicky’s often candid and always insightful reflections on the global burlesque scene.
In addition to her solo performances, Vicky is also known for her collaborative work with Oliver Tabor, where they perform as “The Glamourists.” A classic and mesmerizing magic act.
I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary, which provides valuable insights into Vicky’s work and future aspirations.
