Review of Extrasensory Deceptions - Online Charity Show With Christopher Howell

Updated: Jul 16, 2023

Magic Circle Magician Christopher Howell is advertising lots of online Zoom dates to support the Breathe Magic programme, that is part of Breathe Arts Health Research.

The show is called Extrasensory Deceptions and has multiple dates (10) organised with lots of opportunities to see the show in October and November. The show I attended was on Sunday the 18th of October and lasted about 50 minutes. Tickets are free and you are requested, if you can, to donate at the end of the show.

The Breathe Arts Magic programme is an Intensive Therapy Foundation designed to help young people with hemiplegia and provide them with therapy that transforms them into magicians. Therapists work with the Magic Circle magicians to teach magic tricks that help develop skills like cognitive, hand and arm function and other benefits.

Christopher is an established performer who supports the programme. An Associate of the Inner Magic Circle, he appears regularly at events internationally and on television. He has also performed at The Magic Castle in Hollywood.

When I booked my ticket, I booked on the same day of the show. They request you do not book unless you can definitely attend, so I held off booking until I knew I would be able to join the show that day and review.

Once booked, supporting emails were sent with joining instructions before the show.

On joining, video played and technical support was offered via chat. About 20 audience members logged on from around the world and audience management was good, advising all to mute. It was also suggested that you have a few props at hand. It is a family friendly show. Though, to participate in the interactive elements, you need to be over 15.

Christopher has put together an excellent and enjoyable show especially for this cause. He has a great manner and is very confident talking to the audience and camera. Style wise, lots of mentalism. All aspects of the show are interactive.

Please see details below for the official write up about the event(s) on eventbrite. You can book here.

Tickets are free but as a charity event, donations are requested after the show using JustGiving. Here.

Dates and times for the shows are at the bottom of this page, along with the official show details.

For more about the charity, details here.

Recommended show for a very good cause. Thank you Christopher.
